Much of the money according to my colleagues' direct experience are from Chinese millionaires wanting to divest out of China. Some even realize that our market may decline but they also understand that their purchase is for the long term. <br /><br />Personally I had only one experience with Mainland Chinese buyers and they bought my clients'tear down home in Pt. Grey for $1.3M with the intent to build. This was 7 months ago, and apparently the new owners have rented it out.
