I'd like to take a brief moment today to say thank you, dear readers.
This blog was started as a way of passing on thoughts and articles about the housing bubble and monetary policy to co-workers - it being easier to post things and discuss later than repeating the concepts over and over again.
Being the internet, anyone could tune in and read... if they so desired.
Much to my surprise, people did.
From about 30 people a day in the beginning, the daily viewership on this blog has grown to approximately 2,500.
I'm flattered.
In the wee hours this morning the counter at the bottom of the blog sat at 997,550. Based on the average daily hits we will probably click over the million mark sometime this evening or tomorrow.
So as we pass this little milestone, let me take the time to thank each and every one who pops in today.
I hope the blog has entertained, enlightened and provided something worthwhile.

That's one hell of a cute dog! Is it yours?
ReplyDeleteThe picture is used as an homage to my dear puppy who passed away earlier this year:
DeleteYou can read about her here.
What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful dog.
DeleteI come here for the picture of your black lab!
ReplyDeleteCongratulation and thanks for all the hard.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Thanks for all your hard work, and all the information.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching the milestone and on the dedicated and valued contribution to blogged journalism.
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything. It's a concise and relevant blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Whisperer. This is a nice site and you have done great job getting the message out.

Thank you, I stumbled upon this blog a few months ago and look forward to reading the well thought out and reasoned arguments!
ReplyDeleteEverytime we visit your blog we smile at the sight of your lab's pic. We missed you when you suffered through the loss of your pup.
ReplyDeleteWe've followed your blog for the past year or so and relevance is what we appreciate the time it takes to blog so regularly.
Just wanted to let you know you are appreciated.
Cheers,
Your dog reminds me of my old dog. She lived to be 16, and died of old age about 10 years ago. At that time her face had mostly gone white. The most intelligent dog I ever had who wandered many of the streets of Vancouver, back when it wasn't unusual to see a dog walking itself.
ReplyDeleteYour site is alright. I mean it's a rehash of everything we read everywhere else. For the longest time it was just complete plagiarism straight up. But lately you've actually been researching a few extra points to go with the plagiarism. Some of the comments are good, but nothing we can't get from the real blogs. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteRay, you are just another rehashed overused realtor that no one wants to listen, talk, or look at you anymore. For the longest time, it was that there are too many realtors like you going out of business trolling good forums like this. Some realtors are good, but nothing we can get anywhere else like a used car salesman. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Please shut up Ray. There has been some brilliant commentary on this site and the excellent observations are well worth waiting for. You may not be appreciating that quality and quantity are different subjects altogether. If interesting daily repetitious messages are what turns your crank then I encourage you to go back to the Greater Fool (where you will promptly get your ass kicked by the locals).

If you say so. He's just reposting VCI/VREAA and Greaterfool, so I don't see much value expect his sidebar of PaulB's numbers in one spot. I'm not sure why he even keeps at it everyday when there are no ads on this site that warrant the traffic he'll get to re-read the same info. You, on the other hand, have massive original content Farmer, and it's a shame you don't post as much as you used to.
